Tiki learns how to ride a Harley for the first time at HornyHounDogs. Tiki soon finds out that this process can be achieved in 4 easy steps so that no one gets hurt.
- Mount up
Straddle the Harley and sit with feet firmly on the ground. You may put both feet down or maintain the three point position; left foot on ground and right foot near the lower quadrant. - Riding Posture
Head is always up, but keeping a consistant eye on your Harley. Wrists are flat maintaining a good grip with right hand positioned for gesturing when necessary. Be aware of good posture to keep your balance and to get a feel for the Harley. If you start to lose balance or veer off course, just look where you want to go to maintain that direction. - Clutch Control
Never shift from a slower position to a higher position too quickly; Vice-versa is also true. For slow speed maneuvers, maintain friction zone by slightly feathering the clutch. This provides enough power to move forward slowly. - Obey all signs
Nearly a third of Harley mishaps occur when the rider continues through obvious stopping signs. Riders must learn to stop, take a break, look right, look left, then down to check that the stopping signs have gone.
Following these 4 simple rules will always lead to an enjoyable and safe Harley riding experience.
