WB Interviews Porn Star Marco Rubi

Marco Rubi is the Italian pornstar who has taken the gay porn world by storm since his first appearance with Kristen Bjorn. His amazing butt, sexy body, and downright adorable face make for a legend-in-waiting. Lucky for us, he has been busy trudging back and forth across the Atlantic filming for Men.com and Lucas Entertainment on this side of the pond, while continuing to work in Europe as well. WayBig is happy to have been able to grab a few moments of Marco’s time (although we wished we could also have grabbed something else as well).

1) Can you describe for WayBig viewers exactly what you are wearing right now?

I’m shirtless, wearing shorts and sneakers.

2) If you could start your own porn website, what would that site be like?

I would have young muscle guys because I admire youth and athletes’ bodies (not fake, jacked bodybuilders ) .The scenes would take place somewhere outdoors. I’m a country boy, and for sure, the European country would be present as the background of my scenes.

3 ) You have performed in both condom and condom-free porn. Any comments or observations on condoms and the gay porn industry?

The movie Dallas Buyers Club (a movie that touched me deeply ) brought on camera how it was to live during the HIV’s outbreak in the 80’s. It was very difficult to save yourself in those years if you contracted the virus. Using condoms was the only way to save yourself from the contagion. This is why In the 90’s and until few years ago filming bareback was looked down as dirty, wrong and inconsiderate. But today things have changed. There are more stronger medicines available and we don’t see deaths from HIV like we use to.. There is no more alarmism around AIDS so it became more legally correct to film bareback. But infections and deaths still happen and we all still should be safe when having sex.

Now.. About the gay porn industry; It was very hard, until recently , to see hot men do bareback porn.. But bareback porn nowadays cash in more money than condom porn; many companies started doing it to make more money and you now see very hot men doing it. Until people stop buying bareback porn I don’t see this changing. Money buys a lot of things.. In porn everyone has responsibilities. Some bareback porn companies make you feel safer asking the results of all the performers before filming (even if it’s still risky to do so), some others don’t care to do so.. I don’t condone this way of doing bareback porn because it put at more risk the performers.

4) You’ve been described by many fans as “bottom perfection.” Aside from your obviously great body, what else do you think makes a bottom perfect?

Thank you ~ what makes a bottom perfect? Well its even how you look at your partner in the eyes, the expressions of your face, enjoying taking what you’re taking (It shows if you do) and connecting with your partner; touching him and making him feel at the center of the attention, while, of course, still moaning and letting yourself go.

5) What is the biggest mistake or blooper you have made on set?

Ouch! I broke one of the Studio’s lamp, and it was really expensive. I was mortified and asked forgiveness but the director was still pretty upset :/ And once I was doing an improbable position on top of a guy and my elbow hit his face pretty hard.. My “graceful” movements are dangerous! LOL!

6) What is the most difficult scene you have ever filmed and why?

I gotta give the prize to the DP scene I did for Kristen Bjorn. it’s not something I do daily so you can imagine I was a little nervous about that, adding the fact that it was my first scene… you get the picture..Yea, it didn’t go exactly smoothly to say the least. But it went .

7) Which scene are you most proud of?

The scene among mine that makes me the most proud is “SpyBoy”, the very professional and talented crew of MenAtPlay filmed it.. The chemistry between me and Rogan Richards was/is great and he is such a nice guy to work with – plus one of the hottest men I ever met, with no doubt.

8) You have said before that you had been approached many time to do porn and had turned it down a lot before you decided to give it a try. When you finally made the decision to do porn, what happened that made it mentally possible for you to do it?

In New York, where I lived for 4 years, I struggled to become a well established bartender. When I landed in some of the best gay clubs, I felt I had to build a reputation and popularity. At that time I never gave to porn the time of the day. I was very focused on my image of gay bartender in the Big City and when Mr. Pam handed me a Lucas card asking me if I was interested I declined the offer with a mug on my face. I regret I did it, now. LOL! ( She is the nicest ).

When I finally left New York, I realized how toxic NYC was and I started working on my confidence as individual. This led me to reconsider porn. I thought to myself, “Why not?” I was finally free from the prejudice.

9) What advice would you give to a young man thinking about getting into the gay porn industry as a performer?

To a young man thinking about getting into the gay porn industry as a performer I would give him the advice to think really carefully why he wants to do porn and to consider all the repercussions that it may cause on his professional and love life one day. Considering that, he should do this for fun, as a recreational thing for himself, not for the money. This is something that is gonna last only a small frame of his lifetime. And I would tell him to stay who he really is, remaining humble and to not get involved in all the back-stage’s temptations.

10) What is the scenario for your idea of a perfect date?

Im a very romantic person, but anything really could be a perfect date, the important is the guy; It could be on a boat, on the beach, in a cabin or a restaurant..I don’t care, as far as the date is well planned, it will already be half perfect.

11) Do you sing in the shower?

Yes I do, pathetically, sing in the shower; songs of the Cranberries or Alanis Morissette, most of the time.

12) What projects do you have coming up in the near future?

Compared to most, Marco Rubi seems not only to be stunningly beautiful, but he has a head on his shoulders to boot. We even imagine that there would be many folks applying for him to break their lamps while performing double penetration cartwheels on their living room furniture. We are very happy that he is now far away from the toxicity that invades New York City, and can only imagine what spending some time in the Italian countryside will do for his mood and energy levels.

We are happy that Marco is recuperating nicely after back surgery in January, and hope that his roughly six month hiatus will leave him racing out of the gates to keep up with his beautiful performances in more movies.
