CA says: Everyone has this same complaint over and over again, but Sean Cody has double the amount of solo’s that other studios have. There is no way possible for as many Sean Cody models to come back as they have solos–unless they add double the amount of action scenes–and that’s not happening.
That said, I get the frustration that when a solo model comes back, it’s someone like Ross and not Christopher who was an overwhelming favorite. To be fair to Sean Cody though, they seem to be trying to bring in new guys. Since September there have been about 14 weeks with 9 solo models returning for action scenes: Sawyer, Brody, Graham, Michael, Ollie, Rusty, Forrest, Perry and now Ross. That really is no different from other studios averaging about one new solo a week with 2/3 coming back for action scenes.
The issue Sean Cody has is one of perception. It does not follow the same format of other studios so it feels like there are less new guys when your favorite model doesn’t come back….especially when one does return, you get stuck with Ross updates. I would challenge people to compare that list of 9 though to the new guys since September at Corbin Fisher or CM and I would say Sean Cody still has a better crop of guys.
CA says: Thinking how Sean Cody can maybe help with this–I fix things for a living so it’s hard to turn it off even while reviewing porn–an easy fix would be how you can sort videos on the site. At present, you can only sort them by ‘Name’ and ‘Date Added’. They should really add a sort for ‘Models’ that would only filter in the hundreds of models they have or just add a ‘Models’ tab like most studios have.
It doesn’t sound like that big of a deal, but with the solo scenes integrated into the larger mix of action videos, they tend to get lost and people forget what solos they have seen in the last quarter or so and we forget who is new and who is old…as crazy as that sounds. I was surprised when I went back through to see just how many solos are coming back.

My point has been that Sean Cody has fewer of their “best” solo models coming back than is the case at Corbin Fisher and CM, AND when they do come back, they are almost always one-dimensional. Say what you will about Corbin Fisher but somehow Corbin Fisher gets more of their guys to be more versatile, by a long shot, than does SC. And the versatility element reduces the “more of the same” argument that comes up with Sean Cody so much.
CA says: Yes, I agree the lack of versatility in SC’s performers is a separate issue for some. I have always assumed that Corbin Fisher does not set contracts with models who won’t be versatile performers, unlike Sean Cody who will take someone like Jess who was not open to bottoming. I rather have models like Jess, Abe, Brandon, etc. even if they are only tops than not. That’s how it is in real life….some people don’t like to bottom….but I get how it’s annoying I would have loved to see any of the three bottom.

The general consensus is yes, Sean Cody delivers many hot solos and no, many of them don’t return. But everyone already knew that. The problem with your “math” of course is that there are two models, at least, in each action scene, so they could easily feature more of the new models. I think the main problem most of us have is the repeated, and I mean repeated, use of models that clearly do not deserve so much “exposure” rather than using new models.

I agree that it would be great to see more of the new models, I was just pointing out that there are new models in the rotation and more than people seem to assign credit for. That said, rarely does any studio regularly place their newbies with another newbie…they’re all about putting an experienced guy with a new guy.
The issue I have with Sean Cody is that they don’t have a deep enough bench–sorry for those who don’t get the sports reference–and their “experienced” guys or their starting lineup is below average–they should all be tier two (if not tier three) performers…they mostly all were this time last year and were elevated when they were the only guys standing at the end of the cuts and what feels like a mass exodus. When the Sean Cody starting team is David, Jack, Randy, Porter and the team captain is Tanner…you’re looking mighty piss poor compared to four years back around this same time when your starting team was Jess, Ethan, Jarek, Curtis with Kurt as a team captain. Not even that far back, but two years ago, when people were still bitching about the lack of rotation in models, you had Brandon, Stu, Jarek, Abe and Jess as a team captain; not to mention Calvin still being around, Ashton, Joshua, Pavel, Coleman–the B Team was thick. Plus, two of the greatest one and done performances by Grant and another by Willis happened.
Sean Cody just needs more experienced models who stick around and its sad to think that this group we have now is them….I mean, do we wan tot see 30 scenes of Randy? or Eddie? No thank you.
