Facebook has over 1 billion users and 200 million use it daily (from Facebook’s own accounts). It has over the years, had varying policies relating to privacy, as it has tried over the years to figure out a revenue model from the information posted by its users. Whether or not something you have posted may or may not have been protected as private by Facebook. The best assumption to make it that is is not. Once something is published, i.e. available without restriction on the Internet, it is fair game in relation to freedom of expression.
Perhaps you explain to why it is OK for a porn blog to link to the Facebook page of the porn model known as Brodie Sinclair and seek out the help of its blog viewers to identify him to expose him, but it is not OK to make any comments about Curtis Sean Cody and his Facebook page on that same blog? As far as I know, neither has been convicted of a crime, but both have posted photos of themselves holding guns on their Facebook pages. The only difference between the two models that I can see is that one has done scenes for MindGeek studios and the other has not. Maybe you have further information that you can share as to why there might be a differentiation in treatment of the models’ information.
My concern is about hypocrisy. As CA comments just below, the hypocrisy probably derives from the profit motive, i.e, the porn studios from which porn bloggers gain revenue have probably come down on a certain porn blogger and threatened his revenue stream if he didn’t stop posting information or links to information about their models. I don’t mind if there would be an admission of this pressure from the porn blogger. I do mind if the reason is couched in some long-winded excuse about privacy concerns. That is hypocrisy.

I don’t dislike Curtis, I think the problem is he comes round too frequently in the rotation and eventually it is easy to get sick of a model that does that. I like Tanner but at one point it appeared that he was on every other film. So that isn’t the models fault but whoever plans the filming.
I suspect now that Sean Cody is under new management that there will be changes, perhaps a slackening of the exclusivity tie in and the number of scenes. If you look at Men (should that be renamed JohnnyRapid.Com there are relatively few exclusive and many more models who work for other studios – it must be far harder for Men.com with their daily updates than the tri-weekly SC.
I also suspect that the new owners will be making consecutive solo and duo films when a new model appears. I think they will have taken onboard the frustration that many soloists were never seen again.

Do you really believe Curtis is the only porn star who is racist, if he is that? And, if he is racist, what level of racist is he? There are levels of racism. There are those racists who want to kill (so some become cops so they can) and there are those who just (because of ignorance) don’t want to invite the black neighbor to their cook-out. We are already seeing changes, with the one solo, the no solo (Donny) and models not being new to porn or being cast from the “jock who is trying this out just for fun” mold. Curtis’s statements do hurt Black people…and our communal society, specifically our country. His statements create an environment of intimidation and attempts to diminish an entire group of men and women. If we do not push back on the ignorant words and actions of others who try to maintain oppression and force a lower caste of people assigned only through their skin color, we will not move forward as a society. The same can be said about gender and sexuality–you do not need to work to shut down a specific church, but you should work to disprove their rhetoric.
It is appalling to me that there are people who think it fine to allow others to espouse hate so they themselves are able to live happily aware of those who wish less opportunities to our fellow citizens.
I wrote back to someone above a similar comment–I hope you read that too and think a little less superficially about how his actions impact you in this moment, but how they impact society on a regular cycle of oppression.
I really do not mean to come across in a way that attacks you, but in hopes that you process his place and role in our community and if we want to turn a blind eye essentially allowing the behavior to be advocated for through a non-reply.
