This scene is disappointing — which is bizarre given how much I like Zale and Truman.

I agree, Troi put in some excellent scenes. Bryan doesn’t really have a problem with sloppy seconds, so it’s possible Troi might come back at some point (unless they had some big falling out). There’s also a chance Bryan has a few unreleased Troi scenes.
