Too many videos have come and gone for me to have a clear sense of the studio’s heyday, but it’s stunning to me how long your and Scrapple’s lists were, and there are still guys whom you didn’t name from 2011 — chief among them Isaiah! But thank you for remembering Clay. I think Clay at one point was borderline fat and had at least one bad haircut, but something about him transcended specifics about his appearance. I think 2011 is probably a safe bet for the peak, with summer of 2011 being a still safer (lol @ “safer”) bet for the specific season. I think Taylor and Valentino might be the most stunning video they ever did in terms of just the visual shock of a guy as hot as Valentino appearing out of nowhere and getting his ass owned by someone as hot as Taylor. The list of videos with two guys as hot as those two is a short one.

There were a few bad apples that kept popping up in 2011, and I was always wishing I could be rid of them — I never liked Kristopher once he got fully inked, I NEVER liked Hayden. But there were some AH mazing scenes that year, including Heath fucking Chip (I was always Chip’s No. 1 fan, it seemed), and pulling out mid-spurt. How many true creampies or hole-made-me-cum-handsfree shots has CM done in the past two years? If I were on the Price Is Right, I’d bid “one” since anyone else with a crooked number was probably overbidding.

Let me say three other things that explain why it’s complicated for me to narrow it to one specific time. 1. August 2012 to April 2013 was Vander’s best, with Ace Kidman being his single best fuck — even better than Taylor. And that was *adjacent* to Vander getting fucked by Bentley. During that era, Vander seemed insistent on proving his merit as a top in one scene, and then proving his merit as a pig bottom in the next, and he did it. Sometimes I wonder if I’ll ever see a pornstar that had everything he had going for him. 2. What I said about Vander (virile top, virile bottom, total pig) was true about Mitch, who brought in the bareback era at CM the way Dawson did at Corbin Fisher. That was 2006-7!! His era was brief, but check out Mitch and Davis, Mitch and Zeph, and above all Mitch and Skyler. 3. Vander and Griffin was 2015. I don’t know of another studio that has given me a scene that I consider unforgettable every single year (except 2008 — the one dud) from 2006 to 2015. As frustrating as he has always been, he always eventually comes through.
