Exactly. To be honest there are probably two reasons. This studio is in San Diego, where black people are damn near non-existent, let alone interested in doing gay porn. I’ve had a couple of friends be scouted (both white) and it happened while they were out drunk and partying. You just won’t find black guys at the same places they’re scouting.

Second, yes they recruit from people who mail in photos and such as well, but again we’re assuming they want to do porn in the first place…..

With that being said it’s california………they should be able to find plenty of latino and asian guys but go figure…..I’m thankful for Ollie, please keep him coming back

I said this point about men of color in porn someplace recently and totally agree that Sean Cody just isn’t looking for a minority. Oh, I compared it to SNL when they said they couldn’t find any funny Black women and that’s why they didn’t have one on the cast and made Tracy Morgan play all of the black female roles–then the media/Hollywood were like….ah, that’s ridiculous. SNL quickly went out and found a couple–why, because there were tons of women out there, they just didn’t bother to look. Sean Cody needs to do the same…not find Black women, but you know what I mean. I’m confident that they can find a hot Black, Latino or Asian model to fuck. Like a Sean Costin…they should have found him before he ended up on a stupid site like GH. I have little doubt people would complain about him being around.

That all said, I’ve always assumed Ollie was Latino…is he not?

Business is the concern, I assume and also an excuse.

Companies have struggled with their own internal bigotry for years in expanding their market to minority populations….until they realize there is money to be made from it. If Sean Cody did any real marketing analysis, first they have to want to, they would probably be surprised to learn how many more subscribers they could get if they had greater integration and targeted the 40% of the gay population who are non-white.

The majority of current members are not going to truly cut their membership with the introduction of one or two men of color in 1 or 2 of the 8 scenes released monthly. The handful of people it may ostracize are easily replaced by the massively neglected and often overlooked gay community of color.
