Foster was probably 26-27 tops (look at his abs, not his hairline), Richard perhaps a wee bit older, and they lasted less than a year on the site. Tomas Brand is a completely different story. No, it’s not my perception. The most “mature” looking model at the time he was signed on in the recent era was Daniel, who was prematurely greying, at 26. That was 6 years ago, so he’s 32. I suspect Blake and Shaw were around the same age when they came on board. The guys can stay on for a while or even return (a la Jack) but no one is over 40, that just doesn’t happen here. Berke was maximum 31 or 32 when he stopped returning. Dennis, whom you correctly point out as one of the older models, was 30 when he started on the site in ’09. He left the site in ’14, so presumably at 35, and he clearly aged out. And those who talk about the early days: it was all surfers and skaters. There was the odd “daddy” type like an Ethan or Foster, but they didn’t last more than a year as the site refined it’s style. Even ageing twink Brett Mathews was probably 30 or 31 tops when he was phased out (and he was brought in as a bit of “ringer” given they id’d him as a known pro who’d worked at other studio). It may have seemed to you at the time that the guys were older because you were younger. And I’m not age-shaming here. I’m talking about a very clear style (and policy) about age at this site. Sean Cody’s Daddies are mountains of men, not older men.
