There’s all kinds of wrong with that word and how it is used. The notion that words have no intrinsic meaning and therefore it’s your fault if a word offends you is a dumb non sequitur, words don’t have intrinsic meaning but they have usages, one that does not respect that would by definition be unable to make any sense and could therefore be dismissed a priori.
