Pop quiz! Which is worst…1) Blake finally appears in a full fucking scene with Davey Wavey, 2) Same as #1 only Davey Wavey has a bag over his head and can not speak or 3) Blake announces retirement to behind the camera with wiggle room for return.

I wish I had the constant wear of maintaining his body. lol I’m old, fat, bald and I smell.

Perhaps its mood or 2 edges of the same sword but I’ve had more than a few fitness models explain that when they finally really got serious about their bodies it became pretty life altering…the way of life. Their diets changed permanently, tho most include the rare but regular cheat, and they pretty much always walked around looking close to peak and then when they scheduled a shoot it didn’t take very long at all (and much less effort) to lean down a couple notches and dry out and the end product was perfection, more or less. Porn guys obviously have a few other factors to consider in their product beyond their appearance and probably don’t have to be AS body perfect as the fitness models, but I bet there’s many parallels, especially with the relatively few porn guys who aren’t slackers and really take their jobs seriously. I think many facets of the industry have gotten worse in the past 5-10 years but in the specific category of guys having outstanding bodies marked by 8 packs and obvious cum gutters, I think more guys these days are getting by with mere flat stomachs (or even not so flat ones) and they don’t do the extra work to have a bubble butt despite being sorta naturally flattish back there and they also just go to the gym A LOT and get lots of muscles but still eat cheeseburgers so the big crowd out there who go bananas over “beefy” guys are still well satisfied. I don’t mind bodybuilders but not if they always appear to be bulking. Athletic muscular is my ideal.

But ahhhh, I cared so much about my appearance ages ago…in another life. It was another chapter in my life, in all earnest. Maybe Blake is among those young guys who can kinda walk around and eat whatever they want and not even workout at all, or perhaps just do a little at home push ups, sit ups, or maybe run an hour 3 days a week, and still be skinny. He might just be one of those guys who has to work really hard to put on the muscle that he has because right here he’s NOT just a skinny guy. That is work and effort and time and I can see wanting a break.

Sounds like you don’t mind Davey Wavey. LOL I’m sorry I was presumptuous and set up my joke at his expense for what I assumed would be funny for both of us. ;)

Yeah, I’ve tuned into Davey Wavey’s vids for who he had in the video with him and from the sound of things, LOTS of guys can’t see him in a sexual way…a couple notches past you into the reaction of horror when thinking of him in a porn video. Davey just has a gym body but not the face for porn, tho I’ve heard rumor he’s hung?

I wholeheartedly agree with your 3 points and try to take consolation that my attractive features are intellect, wisdom, experience and AWARD winning personality!

I am cynical but I still think I can objectively prove that gay porn has decreased in quality over the past 5-10 years and this flies in the face of nearly every person here and elsewhere. I don’t think there’s any question about it, others feel it’s just an opinion and the rest don’t believe in the idea in any way. Course, I don’t come here for upvotes or ass licks. My point of view isn’t in no small part guided by popularity or moderation.

Davey has never been my type. He’s too much a caricature of stereotypical gay culture and girly. He does lack depth and if I’m going to abide superficiality, I’ll tune in to Youtubers Jack Merridew, Rhodes Bros, Andrew Neighbors, Adventures of Zach & B, Max Emerson and even Mark Miller, who tries so very hard to be artistic and a true “creator”. Those guys are all very much my type and they’re all GAY! No fooling around with straights or bi’s or no label guys but there’s also PLENTY of straight Youtubers who have channels about different kinds of things but who primarily achieve popularity because they are pretty and/or have great bodies. You know how they say TV is for the pretty. Nick Priest is an airline pilot out of Australia. Urban Hunterz is some dude who likes to hunt and fish but oddly runs around without a shirt a lot. Nick Fry and Caleb TDB are two of the TarraDarraBros, more Australians that are always running around in just a pair of shorts. 3 channels devoted to young guys who are outdoorsy and hunt and fish. Oh, and these guys and Urban Hunterz always cook everything they hunt or catch outside, on fires or grills. Traveling with Jose is a US Navy guy who isn’t shirtless so much but just cute and oddly not mentioning of his orientation and likes to make Travelogue videos of his travels in the Navy. Like I said before, the straight guys are popular because they’re pretty but their channels, unlike the gay guys whose channels are all about gay life, are about their lives which don’t include gay flavored chapstick kissing or gay sex escapade tales or makeup makeovers or they’re morning routine with the 12 HBA products they must have every single morning, etc. In fact, a pretty gay guy with a hot body could also make orientation neutral videos about hunting or fishing or traveling but I haven’t run across that gay guy on Youtube yet. LOL

So, what do you think of Andrew Neighbors “new” boyfriend? He looks really goofy or nerdy or whatever. Almost without fail, in any gay couple, one guy is hotter/cuter than the other so I suppose one shouldn’t be surprised or disappointed that Andrew didn’t land someone as gorgeous as he is. Too, Andrew is the Youtube celebrity and his two boyfriends, that I know about, were not, so they’re already kinda going to be at a disadvantage. I, personally, have ZERO interest in being on Youtube or having any kind of online presence so if I just happen to meet up with a Youtuber, like Andrew, its very likely I’d say I don’t wanna make videos with you. Make me the silent partner, pun intended.

Merridew has a new boyfriend, too. He’s very cute. As far as imagining dating Jack, he seems high maintenance but on the other hand, I get the impression that “Jack Merridew”, which is his fake online persona and not his real name, is quite a bit different than the “actor” that plays him. Zach’s hubby is Alistair, or however you spell it, and while I actually like quiet guys, he’s another example of a partner not existing on the same level of beauty. I wonder how long Mark Miller will wait to gay marry Ethan? I think they all act like they take YouTube a little too seriously. I have thought it would be an interesting challenge if all these guys on Youtube could make a video without every using the word video or referring to what they’re doing in any way. Also, no talking about “like, comment or subscribe”, either. Can’t say “Vlog”. Seems like since they, and everyone watching, all know and understand what Youtube is and at a very basic level what’s going on, and that is, folks making videos and posting them online for others to watch, that they could leave the constant inward talk behind. Just get to the point….even if its morning routine or makeovers or chapstick challenges.

The straight Youtubers I mentioned are probably esoteric, tho they seem popular by looking at their numbers, but I find them refreshing because they’re not at all gratuitous. And almost every video made by the gay Youtubers are click-bait. Perhaps many people might find hunting or fishing and the resulting footage of dead animals off-puting, it doesn’t bother me. I’ve been thru hell and I’ve seen everything. They are hunting and fishing the real way and its not inhumane or illegal or irresponsible or supposed to be funny. While the sexiness of running around without a shirt, or in the case of the TarraDarraBros, no shirt, no shoes, and barefoot, its not being done primarily to attract viewers. There are plenty of straight guys on YouTube who are cute and built and sexy that are making all kinds of videos but they’re mostly all boring because they’re all the same. Kinda like the theme song to HBO’s Weeds, “Little boxes on the hillside, Little boxes made of ticky tacky, Little boxes on the hillside, Little boxes all the same, There’s a green one and a pink one And a blue one and a yellow one And they’re all made out of ticky tacky And they all look just the same.
