I simply don’t recognize this, I’m thinking that gay pornography is way beyond fucked up than we actually see. If a studio like FraternityX actually wins an award then call me out, I don’t want that shit to represent me, my fantasies or just gay sex in general. To make matters worse is that there’s no one out there who wants to stand out, maybe Austin’s GISP is a good alternative but still they’re relatively small in comparison to other studios when it comes to resources and money, they all sitting there collecting those few dollars and not giving a fuck anymore.

I think what bothers me about stuff like this isn’t the kink itself, because everyone has their own things. But I hate this reality that these studios are out here continually presenting premises that are hokey, offensive, stupid, illogical, abusive and plain lazy to represent gay sex. People really thought barebacking was going to reinvigorate this industry and I’ve seen none of that. Studios would rather rely on barebacking and waste money on gimmicks then spend two minutes thinking about pairings, or simply shooting hot sex. It’s tiring.

True story. But still, when you’re owned by the same company that also owns the reasons that you’re losing money like crazy, what else is there to do? Here’s where these crazy gimmicks pop out, in an attempt to re-gain attention and try to re-gain that same money you keep losing because of piracy. Don’t even get me started on bareback, it’s such a lazy cop out to mask the hideousness of the industry.

I don’t think the piracy issue is connected to the fuckery. Because the gimmicks they’re implementing are cheap and uninspired. If they were really trying to combat the blood loss, they’d put some effort into what they’re creating. Or at the very least, make proactive efforts to prevent the piracy in the first place. Which they’re more than capable of doing, with varying degrees of success. But that’s not really a priority since as you’ve said, the parent company owns those tube sites anyway.

Wouldn’t you think that it’s because they have little to no money that the gimmicks are indeed very cheap and just bland? Doing porn is no longer the final stage, it’s more used as an extra tool for sites such as OnlyFans and Cam4, even the escort business has more success than pornography.

No, I don’t mean financially cheap. I mean creatively cheap. Latex masks, special effects, paying people who are essentially extras in the scene. That stuff adds up. They’re spending way more money than they would by just putting two men in a room and telling them to fuck.
