I don’t think fan sites are entirely to blame here. If anything, blaming them for CF’s recruitment failures is such a lazy excuse by the studio, especially considering all the ladies in their arsenal. You can be in tune with the current times without sacrificing recruitment of new guys. I mean, look at GH and how they manage to continue bringing back new talents despite the rise of OF. Sure, most of their guys have OF too but they rarely hire well-experienced gay porn performers. So in a way, they’re able to maintain a certain level and newness reminiscent of CF and SC’s heydays. Heck, even Carnal Media got a hot, CF-quality new guy in Clayton Foster recently. The problem is that CF is now going for the easy hires and resorting to poaching experienced models who would agree to gay scenes right away instead of investing more time and effort in recruiting new guys. I’ve seen them struggle harder but even back then, you could feel their effort to recruit new models unlike these days. Funny enough, the more coeds they produce, the less new guys they get. And yes, there are still plenty amateurs out there as proven by other studios. CF just isn’t looking hard enough.
