Your intestines and especially your own feces are FULL of dangerous bacteria that cannot infect you from there, but can very much do so through the mouth. The reason why a wound in the belly or intestines is extremely dangerous and often lethal is not because of the wound itself but because of all those bacteria in direct contact with circulating blood infecting the rest of the body. Even the Pope had to be treated years after being shot because an intestinal bacteria went free and circulated throughout the rest of his body, making him very sick indeed.

To briefly dispense with one of the many errors-of-ignorance in your prior post:

In fact, a person who is not already infected with any of those diseases listed above has zero risk of contracting any of those diseases by any transfer of trace material from one’s own rectum to one’s own mouth. None of these diseases can be introduced by self-to-self inoculation, because all of these diseases are caused by specific pathogens that would have to already be present in the contamination source—and if these are already present in your rectum, then you were already infected prior to any self-ATM transfer.

This verifiable and intuitively sensible logical proposition is not countered by your true remarks about traumatic intestinal perforations being capable of causing life-threatening infection. The severity of those cases is due to *bulk* and ongoing direct transmission from within the digestive tract to outside of the digestive tract (into the abdominal cavity and bloodstream which are comparatively more immunologically vulnerable than the oral cavity and pharynx) are not analogous to transfer of trace amounts of material from one end of the digestive tract to the other.
