To hear Corbin Fisher on Pete’s Attic talk about Greg/Jake/Justin, they already had a distinct dislike of him and weren’t going to ask him back regardless of what subsequently happened with the pictures and suit. In fact, its highly possible that this, in part, fueled some (not all – they did have a right to ask that their pictures and name not be used) of the animosity that led to the initial conflict over the pictures. So, its not entirely inconceivable that Jake/Justin felt targeted rather than welcomed while at Corbin Fisher.

Don’t get me wrong – I love the work Corbin Fisher does; they create an incredibly hot product time after time. I’m addicted. But they make it clear they have a very low tolerance for effeminacy; it just doesn’t meld well with the whole site’s core mythology about straight boys being “educated” into the joys of man sex. And almost always, when they discover that a model is already gay or bi, they serve him up quickly as a bottom – even when he’s stated his he usually, or exclusively, tops. So, though subtle, there’s already a built in hierarchy at the site which values the straight boy ethos over the concerns/comfort of the gay models (which probably keeps the incoming straight guys comfortable with the “Hey, look! See? We’re all straight and WE ‘do it’. Nothing odd going on here; just give it a shot.”)

Levi may be every bit as much a bottom as Jake/Justin, but he doesn’t come across as “swishy” the way that Justin does. Not a problem for me – I really like the variety of guys you get over at Sean Cody (they seem to have a higher tolerance for gay guys, even though most of their models are straight, just like in most of the business) – but I think it explains how certain models, like Justin, come back reporting that they felt targeted or excluded over at Corbin Fisher for being gay while others, like Levi, seem to flourish there.
