I’ve always wondered if the work environment comes into play. Sean Cody puts models up in hotels, and they only meet their scene partners, or maybe another model in town staying at the same hotel. Meanwhile, Corbin Fisher just keeps all of its guys on a compound, and they live together, go out and party together, go to restaurants together, drink together, and generally have a good time on the Strip. It becomes very fraternal and more importantly, it’s just a more personable experience overall from what I gather.

I can’t help but feel CF’s system is superior. It allows new models to meet old models. In the process, there’s some mentorship. Guys get to meet straight guys like them who do gay porn, and realize that it’s not as scary as it seems. Connor, Tom, Harper, and all the rest of them are around to say how scared they were when it first started, and how their girlfriends don’t care about the work, and offer all manner of reassurances. I think Corbin Fisher is able to bring back models who otherwise wouldn’t want to fuck a guy on camera. That’s why sometimes their performances aren’t great. But there is a learning curve and they get better over time.

Sean Cody is in a situation in which the guys who do action tend to be the ones who come in seeking to do M/M work. The vast majority of solo models evaporate before their films are edited. We always talk about how hot SC’s scenes are, but that’s because they sometimes film over a period of days and edit it all together to look as good as possible. CF, meanwhile, tends to much more like natural sex, and filmed over more ordinary periods of time.

Finally, I feel like because of all of this, Sean Cody is complacent with a lot of its models. If they can get a hot guy, and said hot guy does not agree to be fully interactive, they just let it continue over and over and over and over. Look at Cameron. Or Stu. Or even Brandon. They don’t push their guys because they’re just glad they came back.

It gets so frustrating. On days like this, I’m like, ‘F U, SC!’
