Of course, the flaw of my example is that RP is not even close to being as hot as Taye Diggs, but that’s my point too — the disregard you perceive in porn is more active in Hollywood because they have so many more options, white and nonwhite. And the effects of that racism trickles down everywhere. I suspect that within the limited pool of applicants, far more white men are drawn to submit their head shots (or whatever) to a porn site, and the only way to overcome that would be to have a company decide to recruit nonwhite models more aggressively, and that’s what they aren’t willing to do. So it’s a choice between recruitment activism vs. the status quo.

You’ve inspired me to try to write to Corbin Fisher to applaud their scene with Marc earlier this week.
